Save big during our #SewSew Summer sale!
There are over 220 women (and three men) from twenty countries in the Ballroom Dress and Latin-Skate Dressmaker School.
They save money - and make money - creating gorgeous dresses for themselves, their daughters, clients, and dance teams.
Will you join them?
Benefit #1
Increase performance confidence.
How fabulous would it be for you to walk out on the dance floor wearing a gown you made? And it looks and fits beautifully.
Do you think when you feel more confident in your costumes that you will perform better? O-M-G, YES.
And isn't performing, feeling glamorous and looking beautiful part of why you dance?
Are you ready to make yourself and the dance you love a priority?
Benefit #2
Save time + money.
Have you clocked the time you spend shopping online to find the best dress at the lowest price? ... and then when you finally buy a dress it was not as a great in real life as you thought, or maybe it didn't fit at all - so then you had to pay to return it.
Or what if you are already making your own dresses? How many times have you ripped stitches, cried and cursed at how difficult each dress is to make? How many times have you bought extra fabric to replace what was ruined?
Learning, and following, the Sew Like A Pro™ proven sewing systems allows you to save money buying ready-made dresses that did not work, and replacing materials when your attempt at making a dress went wrong.
Plus, save your sanity and your valuable time so you can spend it with your family or dancing and skating. Less ripping stitches. Increased productivity. More fun.
Benefit #3
Make money.
Three ways to make money sewing dresses:
- Selling "stock" or ready-made dresses that you sewed using your own designs and fabrics you have on hand.
- Create one-of-a-kind custom dresses for a client.
- Sell the costumes you wore for a show or competition.
- Because the quality of the dress will be professional, your list price can be far more than what you paid for materials.
Benefit #4
Learn new skills.
Are you a novice just learning how to use your sewing machine?
And are you willing to have a massive learning curve for the first month or two?
Yes? YES!
Then you are perfect for the Dressmaker School. Seriously.
Experienced seamstresses are prone to skipping steps and not watching all the training videos because they think they already know how to do it all.
Conversely, novice sewers have no idea what to do. Therefore, they follow each step in each video exactly ... and they have success on their very first dress! Every single time.
Sew... even if you can barely thread your machine, the Dressmaker School can still teach you how to make stunning ballgowns.
Benefit #5
Bring your best to the world.
In this day and age in which we buy poor quality, ready-made food, cheap clothing and we can fast forward through movies with commercials, it can be easy to feel unsatisfied with what we do and have.
When you learn to create your own glorious ballgowns, you fire and wire new neural pathways in your brain, and it releases a lot of happy hormones to help you feel better.
Yes, there is stress making a dress. No doubt. Sometimes they go together quickly, and sometimes you swear the dress faeries have something different in mind than what you want to do.
But when the dress is finished, and you walk out onto the dance floor wearing a dress that you made - and that fits you beautifully - you have pride in creation because you did your best. And that is always a good thing.

You spend how much time and money on your chosen sport?
Ballroom and Country dancers on the tightest budget spend a minimum of $4,500 a year on monthly group classes, 2-4 private lessons, a poor quality dress and one competition.
Many dance competitors spend $10,000 - $40,000 a year on her beloved sport/hobby plus hours and hours of her precious time each week commuting to and from the dance studio ... not to mention the actual time rehearsing and in class. That is a massive investment of both time and money!
Do you think when you feel more confident in your costumes that you will perform better? O-M-G, YES.
In addition, isn't performing, feeling glamorous and looking beautiful part of why you dance?
Then increase the return on the money and time you invest on your dancing (not to mention your emotional investment which is equally large).
Increase your R.O.I. by making competition and show costumes that are perfect for your body shape and size.
Enroll in my dressmaker school so you always wear the best costumes possible at a fraction of what it would cost you to buy it from a professional high-end dressmaker.
Think about it. When your lessons and competitions are over, that's it. You either practice or you wasted your time and money.
The Sew Like A Pro™ dressmaker school is available 24/7 with "lifetime" access. You can work at your own pace any time of day or night until you die or until a few years after I croak. That is what "lifetime" means. That's a long time.
My 2024 price tuition is only $4,499 U.S. dollars. (Your country's currency conversion may make that total more or less.
What do you get for that investment?
At the very least, you get the knowledge and mastery equivalent to a two-year degree at a university. Some of the sewing school members, say it is more like a four-year degree.
$4,499 tuition is a bargain compared to the cost of attending a university, and an even bigger bargain compared to the cost of ballroom and country dancing!
All over this page there are many more reasons you should enroll today. I think you're worth it. Do you?
Scroll through it all. Read the text. Look at the photos.

Yours in dance and sewing,

Sew Like A Pro™ member, Teri.
This is Teri's first-ever ballgown. Her mom taught her to be a quilter with high quality hand-sewing skills
She had not made a custom pattern, worked with stretch fabrics or made a dance dress before enrolling in the Complete Ballgown Program.
Sew Like A Pro™ member, Sherri.
She had made a couple Dancesport dresses before enrolling in the school.
Two years later, the quality of her work has improved tremendously and she is able to make more dresses in the same amount of time. She currently makes dresses for women at her studio and for herself.
(I am wearing her latest creation. It's impeccably done.)
Sew Like A Pro™ member, Liddy.
During one of our group coaching video calls - known as Mentorship Q&As - Liddy shared her first-ever ballgown.
Congratulations on an amazing first gown! Such detailing and professional quality.
Sew Like A Pro™ member, Nikki.
For years, Nikki had been making do with altering used dresses.
When she found this fabulous black and red fabric at her local fabric store, she enrolled in the courses so she could learn to make her own pattern and dresses properly.
She wears her first-ever competition dress start to finish.
Sew Like A Pro™ member, Patsy.
Country dancer Patsy had been making her competition dresses for a while before enrolling in the SLP™ courses. Every dress she struggled with piecing several store bought patterns together and then altering the dress a lot of make it work for dance.
Now, she makes all her own custom patterns and makes dresses for friends also.
Are you a Dancesport or Country dancer who needs both short Latin-style skirts and ballgown skirts?
You do not need to enroll in both the Latin-Skate and the Ballgown Dressmaker School. These two schools are the core dressmaker that you must know to thrive at making competition dresses. As a result, the first six training modules offer similar content with the primary differences being the skirt training and accessories.
The Complete+ Program gives you the skirt and accessory training that is not included with your chosen core school, plus advanced sewing techniques skills and more skirts to make you the most knowledgeable dressmaker possible!
Therefore, if you dance multiple styles, your best value and learning experience is to enroll in either the Ballgown Dressmaker School or the Latin-Skate Dressmaker School and then upgrade to include the Complete+ Program.
Plus, when you enroll right now during the #SewSew Summer Sale, you can upgrade to include the Complete+ Program for only $999 ... full tuition is $2,299! That is a massive savings.
Only once before I have offered this advanced dressmaker program for such low tuition. And it may not happen again.
You must enroll very quickly to get a sweetheart reduction on tuition for the Ballgown Dressmaker Program, plus almost $4,000 in bonuses, and a big love price on the Complete+ Program for advanced dressmaking.
Step up to the sewing machine. Enroll now and begin the journey to making extraordinary ballroom dance dresses.
What should I know about the Sew Like A Pro™ programs?
WHAT IF I ONLY WANT TO LEARN ABOUT MAKING FLOATS OR RHINESTONING?
WHEN WILL THE INDIVIDUAL MODULES BE AVAILABLE?
Sorry, but at this point in time no individual modules are being released. I’m not sure when I will make those available.
For the foreseeable future I want to focus on what will most help you learn to SLP, which is, of course, the complete programs because they have everything you need in a logical, easy-to-follow sequence.
This video was filmed before the Complete Latin-Skate was its own program.

OVERVIEW OF COMPLETE BALLGOWN PROGRAM
(This program and the Latin-Skate Program offers core training for all sewing skill levels.)
OVERVIEW OF COMPLETE+ PROGRAM
This program is an upgrade to the Latin-Skate and Ballgown Programs. It is not available for enrollment as a stand-alone program.
The Complete+ offers advanced sewing techniques such as mesh sleeves with no shoulder seams, mesh inserts, accent cut-aways, and more skirt modules than your core program has.
Scroll the remainder of this sub-page for many of the items taught in each module.
Truthfully, not all the training is included here. It wouldn't all fit on each page ... and I keep adding training videos or images to the membership site! Oh, I didn't say free upgrades are included? They are.
My sewing school has answers to every question or problem you have. And much training that you didn't know you needed to know.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO MAKE MY FIRST DRESS?
Whether you are an experienced or new dressmaker, the first Sew Like A Pro™ dress is the most difficult and will take the longest.
Why?
- You have to learn to make custom patterns for your leotard, sleeve and skirts.
- You will go slower because you will watch the training videos and then do the work. Watch. Create. Repeat. is the formula to making your first dress.
For many students, making the first dress feels like dressmaker boot camp.
The learning curve is high which can create frustrations as you struggle with new sewing techniques.... But it gets SEW MUCH EASIER after the first dress!
Each sewing school module is released one week at a time so you have a chance to do the work without rushing. Therefore, your first dress will take at least 6-8 weeks to complete.
However, you can take much longer to make the dress if that is what suits your schedule. There is no rush. All the Sew Like A Pro™ material is available 24/7 "lifetime" so you can work on your own schedule.
You can work anywhere from 1-10 hours a week depending on how fast you want to make you dress and how thoroughly you want to begin mastering the sewing skills taught in the Complete Latin-Skate and Complete Ballgown Programs. How much you work is up to you.
Your second and third dresses usually takes much less time than the first!
Why?
- You will have made most of your custom patterns with the first dress.
- You do not have to watch all the training videos if you remember how to do the steps you learned while making the first dress. You may only need to re-watch 1/2 of the sewing videos to gain confidence and pick up extra tips.
Plan 20-60 hours over 2-4 weeks if you are in a hurry. The time amount varies according to:
- the complexity of your design,
- how many rhinestones you want,
- how much you recall from making the first dress.
After making your third dress, each dress gets faster and more efficient!
For new dressmakers, the third or fourth dress is often the tipping point in confidence boost and speed increase.
In my prime when my company Seams Sensational made 12-20 custom dresses per month, I could sew a high-fashion, perfectly-fitted custom dress in 10-25 hours depending again on the complexity of the design, whether my client was local or long-distance, plus the fabrics used.
The big time-sucker is gluing rhinestones! 5,000+ rhinestones can take longer to apply than making the dress.
- How long did you take lessons before you felt that you learned enough to test or do a competition?
- For many people this is at least six months, if not a year. ...
- You can make and wear your first dress in as little as two months!
- Your next dress will take only a couple weeks.
- Your third and fourth dress may only take one weekend if you add very few rhinestones.
- How long did it take you to learn to do an axel or to maintain proper dance postition? A long freaking time and you're still working on it, right?
- Dressmaking will take far less time to see tangible results.
- And yes, you can always continue improving with each dress. You can push yourself to make a complex dress, or keep it fast and easy for a quick completion.
- Do you learn new steps and techniques faster now than you did in the beginning? ... YES, is the answer because that's the way our bodies and mind work.
- It's the same for making a dress.
- What you learn right now - let's say installing neckline and leg elastic - will take several hours because you're watching the videos and learning as you go.
- On your second dress, it will take half the time because all you need to do is watch the videos on fast speed for a refresher.
- By your third dress and beyond, 15-30 minutes and all elastics are done!
- Every time you make a dress it gets faster and easier - unless you decide to make complex dresses which slow the process down.
WHAT DO CURRENT STUDENTS SAY ABOUT THE COURSES?
Below are just a few of the comments members made on the community forum available at the bottom of each module page AND/OR on Facebook. This doesn't even show the emails boasting similar success and happiness with the course!
These are simple screenshots of the real thing, posted each step of the way.
Plus you have a few videos from our 2022 Sew Like A Pro™ fashion show!
