Can I learn to design a figure-flattering skate dress?

YES!

“Designing a figure-flattering ice dance, figure skating or artistic roller costume requires minimal creativity and no drawing experience.

I teach design more like a science than art.

It’s about knowledge – knowing how to determine what works on each body shape, and what will likely not look good on your figure.

In my free, 4-day Skate Dress Design Challenge, I give you the skills you need to create sketches that accentuate your favorite body parts and minimize the areas you don’t like.

PERSONAL NOTE FROM TERESA SIGMON:  Don’t be alarmed at the homework assignments!  The point of me running the design challenges is to encourage, educate and inspire – not to overwhelm.

Do as much of the assignments as you can, and don’t worry about the rest.  Yes, the more you do, the more you will learn.  However, there is great value in participating in the group and watching the video training, whether you join live or watch the replays.

Don’t stress about it.  Just sign up and absorb as much as you can.  Dozens of women have taken five of my design challenges because they learn something new every time!  You can always finish the homework on your own time or participate  in another design class.

Teresa's personal dance, skate and dressmaking experience.

Are you tired of competing in costumes that have the wrong neckline and offer no bust support?

Does your costume have the wrong skirt style that makes your tummy and thighs look larger?

Do you wonder why it is that amateurs seldom have the really cool dresses the elites have?

What if you knew which skate dress design elements look best on your body shape and size?

Do you think if you looked beautiful and felt confident in your costume - accentuating all the right curves - that your skate performance would improve?

Absolutely!

Teresa Sigmon carried by Jeff Robinson in a 1994 Theater Arts ballroom dance performance.

How do I know?

I know, because I used to compete professionally in Theater Arts and American Rhythm in the ballroom world.  That's me on the right, flying through the air.  After I retired from competitive dance, I began taking ice dance lessons.

More importantly than all that, I know how adult skaters (and dancers) want to feel in her costumes because I have heard almost every success story and costume-melt-down story during my 30+ years of making custom dresses.

Also, my Sew Like A Pro™ sewing school members in fourteen countries, add further testimony to how important a proper design is for competition costumes.

How you look and feel when you glide onto the rink, makes a tremendous difference in how you perform.

In the Skate Dress Design Challenge, you will get the tools and training you need to design your own perfectly-sculpted dress that flatters your figure.

I hope you can set aside three days to join me and hundreds of skaters from around the world for my 4-Day Adult Figure Skating Dress Design Class.

You'll be glad you did. 😉
